Do you offer special edition new motorhomes?

Yes we do! We at Lowdhams are the only dealer to offer Swift special editions, offering the Hi-Style Xtra and Voyager Xtra ranges.

What are the different classes of motorhomes?

There are three main classes of motorhome: A Class, B Class and C Class.

A Class motorhomes are designed with space and comfort in mind. They feature a fully integrated design where the cab and habitation area are built as a single unit. This creates a large, open interior with generous seating, sleeping areas and onboard facilities. Because of their size and layout, A Class motorhomes are often favoured by couples or families who want a more spacious and luxurious touring experience.

B Class motorhomes, commonly referred to as campervans or panel vans, are the smallest option. They are built within the original body shell of a van rather than having a separate living structure added. This makes them easier to drive, simpler to park and generally more economical on fuel. B Class vehicles are typically best suited to couples or solo travellers who prioritise flexibility and ease of use.

C Class motorhomes, often called coachbuilt motorhomes, combine elements of both designs. The driver’s cab is retained from the base vehicle, while a separate habitation body is constructed behind it. This means the driving area and living space are clearly divided, with the living quarters built as a purpose-designed structure. Many coachbuilt motorhomes also feature an over-cab section above the driver’s cab, which is commonly used as an additional sleeping area. This layout provides more interior space than a B Class campervan while avoiding the full size and weight typically associated with an A Class motorhome.

Are motorhomes a good investment?

Owning a motorhome offers the buyer freedom, flexibility and savings on accommodation/flights. Even opting to cook in your motorhome serves as a cheaper option to restaurants whilst holidaying, which is particularly worth it if you are catering for dietary requirements. With a motorhome, you can holiday more, and even avoid the half term/school holiday fees if you have children.
