Celebrating 60 Years of Lowdhams

Lowdhams proudly hosted our 60th Celebration Weekend from 5–7 June at Millview Glamping to mark an incredible milestone of 60 years in business. What a fantastic celebration it was!

More than 200 My Lowdhams members joined us for the occasion, helping to create a truly memorable weekend filled with laughter, entertainment and celebration.

Over two action-packed days, members enjoyed a jam-packed line-up of next-level entertainment, great food and drink, wild camping, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate with fellow members and staff.

With the sun shining, members arrived and kicked off the celebrations with live music from brass band The Hot Dogs, creating the perfect atmosphere to start the weekend. Guests were then amazed by the incredible close-up magic of Roy Bond while enjoying complimentary street food from our fabulous catering team.

The evening continued with a lively and hilarious game of drag bingo, which had everyone laughing and winning lots of prizes, before our very own Workshop Manager, DJ Reckless, took to the decks and kept the dance floor busy well into the night, a brilliant warm-up ready for day two’s events!

Despite a wet start to the day, the weather certainly didn’t dampen spirits. The morning got off to an energetic start with a Zumba Gold class in the marquee, helping members shake off any previous night’s sore heads and get warmed up for another fun-filled day of celebrations.

Fortunately, the rain soon cleared, allowing members to enjoy the Music Treasure Trail Hunt and the Fun Dog Show. We saw lots of four-legged friends and their owners taking part in categories such as Best Trick, Top Sausage Catcher and Temptation Alley. A huge thank you and well done to everyone who entered and congratulations to all the winners!

The afternoon welcomed the talented acoustic singer Jess, who impressed everyone with her beautiful vocals while members enjoyed a complimentary BBQ

As the day progressed, members took to the dance floor for some rockabilly jiving courtesy of Razor Holler before changing into our best 70s and 80s fancy dress outfits. The effort that went into the costumes was fantastic, bringing plenty of retro vibes to the celebrations.

Next on stage were Urban Intro, whose soulful performance captivated the audience and set the tone perfectly for the evening’s headline act.

Closing the live entertainment was our very own Motorhome Sales Executive, Kevin, and his band, The Crazy Apes. They certainly did not disappoint. Their high-energy performance had members filling the dance floor, while Kevin’s talent amazed not only our guests but many of his Lowdhams colleagues too.

For those who still had energy to spare, the celebrations continued late into the evening in the Yurt, where members and staff rounded off what one member described as a “tremendously enjoyable weekend”.
