Campers are welcome at serveral Camping & Caravanning Club sites throughout Christmas and New Year, with sites open in the UK as well as further afield in Europe.
Some 17 Club Sites in the UK have extended opening and will remain open until early January, while 12 more are open year-round.
Many of the sites with extended opening are hosting special events for campers over Christmas, with Salisbury (Wiltshire) laying on a mulled wine and Christmas quiz afternoon on Christmas Eve and Bellingham (Northumberland) throwing open the doors of its cosy recreatrion hall for campers on-site on New Year's Eve. In addition to the "New Year's Fizz" party, the site will also hold a quiz and film night on New Year's Day on its big screen.
The Club also has a number of sites close to some fabulous Christmas markets, making them the perfect option for a mid-winter break. Among these include Canterbury, Oxford and Salisbury.
Bob Hall, Sites Director at the Camping & Caravanning Club, said: "more Club members are now touring long after the clocks fall back in the autumn, swayed by the modern heating systems on their camping units and plush on board furnishing.
"The Club is committed to spending more on our sites to make them better equipped for winter touring so they can stay open later into the winter."
If you fancy travelling out of the UK to slightly warmer climes, the Clubs Winter Sun sites are anticipating another busy season with 20 winter sun destinations available on the coasts of Spain and Portugal, plus there are four Winter Sun Rallies running over the festive period.
All of these destinations have plenty of things to do, particularly the rally sites, including things like carols on the beach, Boxing Day swims and Christmas sing-a-longs among other activities.
