Caravan Times is the UK's largest online magazine for caravan enthusiasts and every year they invite their readers to select their favourite caravan in a public vote.
On this occasion it was the fourth generation Bailey Pegasus range that won the plaudits by beating off stiff competition from other industry rivals to claim the title, securing just under 20% of the vote in the process. It is the third consecutive year that a new Bailey caravan range has received this accolade, with the third generation Unicorn range winning the same award in 2014 and the Pegasus GT65 range in 2013.
Pegasus also came out top in this year’s Lightweight Caravan range poll as well as being runner up in the Luxury Caravan range highlighting its all-round appeal to a wide range of potential caravan owners.
Launched in September last year the latest Pegasus range is available in a choice of seven different layouts, accommodating up to five people, to offer something for everybody. Re-designed interiors provide more internal floor space, larger kitchen worktops and longer seats for more practical living. In addition to a stylish makeover both inside and out, models also benefit from a host of innovative features including a new domestic style seating system which sets new standards in caravan comfort and a fully specified Truma Combi programmable heating system which combines with market-leading insulation courtesy of the Alu-Tech body shell to make the new Pegasus a van for all-seasons.
Commenting on the Pegasus’s success, Caravan Times editor, Joe Jeffrey said:
"Bailey of Bristol has certainly gone above and beyond in its efforts to impress the voting - and more importantly - caravanning public, as is evident when looking at the results of our Caravan?Times Awards for 2015.
"This year saw the fourth generation Pegasus take first place in the Caravan of the Year and Lightweight Caravan of the Year categories, proving that Bailey continues to provide a quality product offering year-on-year”.
Bailey Managing Director Nick Howard said: “to receive such a genuine seal of approval for our products from the wider caravan community is very encouraging and bears testament to the amount of time we have taken to listen to what people really want to see in a new vehicle”
