Carthago and Dethleffs scoop prestigious Awards

For the second year running, Carthago and Dethleffs scooped first prize in their respective categories in the Caravan Club's Motor Caravan Design and Drive Awards. The prestigious results event was held at Highclere Castle in Berkshire on Thursday 20th May.
A record entry of 48 motorhomes underwent three days of testing and scoring at Newark by a panel of 6 design judges, each with a particular specialist area of relevant expertise.
In the 'A' Class up to £72,000 category, the judges described the Dethleffs Globebus I 5 as "a clear winner" citing production quality in particular. Winning the 'A' Class over £72,000 category, the Carthago Liner 65 received the accolade of being "simply stunning".
Steve Sharpe, partner of Lowdhams, received the awards on behalf of the respective manufacturers. Steve said; 'This is excellent news for Lowdhams, Carthago and Dethleffs, adding to our long list of awards and hopefully drives us forward to continued successful times ahead."
Auto-Sleepers enjoyed a fantastic result from their entires, winning the categories of Van Conversions over £40,000, Coachbuilts between £43,000,and £54,000, and Coachbuilts over £54,000, plus taking the Overall Competition Winner with the Cotswold EB.
